1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Clarity browser extension, website, account dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old or the age of digital consent in your region.
- You are responsible for account security and all actions taken through your account.
- You must provide accurate account and billing information.
- You may not share account access in ways that circumvent plan limits.
3. Service Description
Clarity provides AI-powered text transformation features (rewrite, tone adjustments, translation, custom prompts, and related functions). Features may change over time.
Availability depends on technical conditions including model provider uptime, queue depth, and security controls.
4. Plans and Pricing
Clarity may offer Free and Pro plans. Plan details shown at checkout or pricing page form part of these Terms.
- Free plan is limited and may change at any time.
- Pro plan is recurring and may include additional usage priority and features.
- Paid plans are subject to fair use, anti-abuse controls, and technical limitations needed for service stability.
5. Billing, Renewals, Taxes
Paddle acts as merchant of record for paid transactions. By purchasing, you also agree to Paddle's terms and policies.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date.
- Prices may be shown before VAT/GST/sales taxes where legally applicable.
- We may update prices or plan packaging in the future with prior notice where required.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund outcomes are processed through Paddle according to Paddle rules, local consumer law, and applicable checkout conditions.
You can manage billing actions from the dashboard or by contacting support at hello@clarityext.com.
7. Fair Use and Technical Limits
To ensure stable access for all users, we enforce fair-use controls and platform limits on every plan, including Pro.
- Per-request input cap (for example, around 2000 characters unless otherwise stated in product).
- Rate limiting, queueing, and concurrency restrictions.
- Execution timeouts and retry controls.
- Anomaly detection for abusive or non-human traffic patterns.
We may temporarily slow, defer, or deny requests where required to preserve platform stability.
8. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Attempt to bypass plan limits, queue controls, anti-abuse safeguards, or authentication checks.
- Use bots/scripts to generate excessive automated load outside normal user behavior.
- Resell, sublicense, white-label, or expose Clarity as part of another commercial product without written permission.
- Use the Service for illegal activity, fraud, malware, harassment, or rights-infringing content.
9. Your Content and Prompts
You retain ownership of input text and prompts you submit. You grant Clarity a limited license to process this content solely to operate and secure the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring your submitted content is lawful and does not violate third-party rights.
10. AI Output and Responsibility
Subject to applicable law, you own output generated for your requests. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose and must be reviewed before professional, legal, medical, financial, or compliance use.
Clarity does not guarantee factual correctness, uniqueness, suitability, or fitness of generated output.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, software, branding, interface, and related intellectual property are owned by Clarity and licensors. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, no license is transferred to you.
Feedback you provide may be used by Clarity without restriction or compensation.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we detect abuse, fraud, legal violations, security threats, or material breach of these Terms.
Enforcement may include temporary limits, feature restrictions, plan adjustments, or account termination.
13. Warranty Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, specific performance speed, or guaranteed output volume.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clarity will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm.
Where legally allowed, Clarity's aggregate liability for claims related to the Service is limited to amounts paid by you to Clarity during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Clarity, affiliates, and team members from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uzbekistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Tashkent, Uzbekistan will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country provides otherwise.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. Referral Program and Anti-Abuse
Referral rewards are granted only after qualification requirements are met. Entering a referral code alone does not guarantee bonus credit.
Qualification may require extension install confirmation and minimum in-product activity. Exact requirements can be updated to prevent abuse and protect fairness for all users.
- A single extension install ID may qualify a limited number of referral rewards.
- Referral qualification may expire if required actions are not completed in time.
- Self-referrals, device-sharing abuse, and attempts to bypass controls may be blocked.
- We may deny, reverse, or limit referral rewards when anti-abuse systems detect suspicious behavior.
